Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
