Close to 90 Air Travels Associated to Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airfields
Analysis has identified that nearly 90 flights linked to Jeffrey Epstein allegedly touched down at and left UK airports, with some allegedly carrying women from the UK who claim they were victimized by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Pattern of Movement
These aviation records were part of a trove of court documents and files made public by Epsteinâs estate that have been made public over the past year. The review identified 87 aircraft movements tied to Epstein â including many that were not previously known â landing or taking off from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unnamed female passengers were listed among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Crucially, 15 of these British airport journeys took place following Epsteinâs 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a underage person.
âThis is âshockingâ that there had never been a âthorough probe in the UKâ into his activities in the country,â remarked US lawyers representing numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epsteinâs accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that individual has never been contacted by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had ânot received any additional evidence that would support reopening the inquiry.â They noted, âShould fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, including any arising from the disclosure of material in the US, we will assess it.â
Ongoing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
A bill to release all files held by the US government in concerning Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of files are anticipated to be made public.
Additionally, a federal judge decided last week that the department could disclose evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinâs close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
