The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and requesting any details about their children publicly.

The blaze engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Confirmed video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have warned that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the fatalities of the tragedy, which killed four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. Authorities said on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process continuing to name the other six.

In the meantime, families and friends have been posting on the internet to request clues about their missing relatives who were at the bar that night.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The fate of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an public plea from his parent.

The resident of a town near Lausanne, told a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the same in the capital, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in intensive care. Words cannot describe it," she told the paper.

She added that some of his peers had been located with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's indescribable; they endured hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that six of its young people remain missing.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and found himself at the venue.
